The Lodge is a completely private house in the grounds of La Colonica, an old and very beautiful ex-farmhouse. It is comfortable and welcoming. Ideal for groups of up to 4 adults or families of up to 5. The Lodge has 2 large en-suite bedrooms, living and dining areas, kitchen and outdoor dining patio. It has beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, marble bathrooms, and is fully air-conditioned. Free Wi-Fi internet. The open log-burning fireplace is fuelled by olive wood from our olive grove.

Located in Southern Tuscany, south of Siena (26 miles) and Arezzo (12 miles), a few miles from the border with Umbria, it is in the heart of the Val di Chiana countryside near Cortona, Monte San Savino and Lucignano. It is surrounded by large (2.5 acres) gardens and olive grove with views of the surrounding hills. Free parking in the grounds. It is a short walk to the nearby medieval village. There are excellent local and reasonably priced restaurants.  Because of its excellent location, it is the perfect choice as a base to explore Florence, Siena, Tuscany and Umbria - and for a relaxing holiday in comfortable and elegant surroundings.
